Multimouse and the Snake Prince
Ok so I decided to try and do @lovebugs-and-snakecharmers‘ Sprint Challenge. The theme is AUs so I picked out the fantasy AU and this is the result. So we have Witch!Marinette and cursed!Luka. Usually most people go with either Marinette’s normal look or reimagine Ladybug as a witch/mage but I decided to go with Multimouse. So the basic back story is that Luka is cursed by an evil witch *cough* Lila *cough* and is trapped in snake form most of the time but can only take his true form under full moon light. At some point, Marinette finds him and meets him. Que shenanigans and mischief as Luka and Marinette become friends and try to break his curse. Will I write this story? Yes, I’m already gonna start to work on it but technically it won’t be done as a sprint.
Anyway, the image below is what I had done when I finished the sprint so I’m pretty proud of how this all came out.
He had caved and bought the fae potion stuff. His friends were talking about it, and they said that it had weird, and sometimes cool effects. His friends had also said it was temporary.
Obviously, he and his no-longer-friends had two different ideas of the word “temporary”. Maybe they owned different dictionaries.
“Peter,” came his mother’s voice from down the hall, “you have a clean shirt to wear?”
It was perhaps one of the first non-accusatory questions aimed at him in the past month. Peter huffed, softly, as scratched at the scaly patches on his arms. They itched sometimes, even though they were rough and unfeeling when he ran his clawed hands over them! They complimented his clawed feet, bare and slightly raised, like that of some reptile who chose to walk about on two feet, with scales running up his legs and covering almost his whole back.
He’d been that way ever since he had tried that stupid joke potion. And he’d paid for it dearly, going from a pampered kid in a well-to-do family to a jobless outcast who had an interview at some local dinner theater.
“Peter??”
Ah.
Right.
Shirt.
“I got a shirt, Moooooom!” he called from his room. It was nice and ironed and now had two large tears in the back where his leathery wings had torn through the flimsy, high-end fabric. And he didn’t even want to think about his pants, how his thin, long tail stuck uncomfortably through the back of them. He’d have to see about a new wardrobe, perhaps one modified to accommodate his...unique...features.
Surely he wasn’t the only cursed person out there who had to deal with this kind of crap-!
“Do you have your papers?” his mom called again, from somewhere else in the house.
“Yeaaaaaaah!” Peter hollered, grabbing his resume, along with a small slip of paper that described his “condition”, assuring anyone who checked it that his curse had only affected his appearance. His mind was still his..for now.
His tailed lashed about as he moved, knocking a few trinkets off his desk and onto the floor. Peter huffed, feeling its heat against his skin as he moved to pick up his things.
“What was that?” came his mother’s voice. Peter growled to himself as he fixed everything (again) and tapped his papers together in his hands. The trick was not to tear them to shreds.
“Nothing, Mom! Just leave me alone!”
He needed this job. Whatever kind of crap they’d put him up to, whatever ogling and stupid questions they’d submit him to, Peter needed this job.
He needed to get away from the questions and constant nagging.
Cursed or not, he needed some kind of normalcy, and he wasn’t getting it here.

@supesofherown ‘tis the dragon lad
@bee-friend we had talked about dragon lads that one day and well...this one’s mine ~ thank you for inspiring this lad :)
Does anyone have some advice for dealing with a cursed DND character? I know that cursed dice can be smashed or otherwise gotten rid of, but I have a character who no matter what I roll with he always fails his perception checks. Always. Digital dice. Physical dice. Cheap dice. Expensive dice. This boy is cursed. The running joke is that he needs glasses but I wanna put this out there and see what solutions others have.
