Book asks! 7, 3, 11, and 16 please
Wheee thank you!
3. What were your top 5 books of the year?
Fiction, in no particular order because this is already tough:
The Lamb, Lucy Rose
Cry to Heaven, Anne Rice
Sky Daddy, Kate Folk
Bat Eater & Other Names for Cora Zeng, Kylie Lee Baker
Idle Grounds, Krystelle Bamford
Nonfiction, again in no order:
Entangled Life, Merlin Sheldrake
The Wager, David Grann
What It's Like to Be a Bird, David Allen Sibley
Chanterelle Dreams, Aminita Nightmares, Greg Marlet
Seven Brief Lessons on Physics, Carlo Rovelli
7. What was your average GoodReads rating? Does it seem accurate?
3.1, which sounds about right. I went through some slumps where I needed just super mid paperback thrillers.
11. What was your favorite book that has been out for awhile, but you just now read?
Tampa, by Alissa Nutting. It took me awhile to tackle that kind of vibe and commit to it, but I was instantly hooked once I did start.
16. What is the most over-hyped book you read this year?
The Teller of Small Fortunes, by Julie Leong. Actually, my entire book club agreed on this one-- it is possible for cozy fantasy to be too cozy.
