At the moment, I’m convinced that Kurea Howa has to be Cure Eclair. It’s true that Shiruku Ieiri presented some strong evidence in her speculation episode, but I’m pretty certain that she’s a red herring. Yes, there was all that stuff she said about memories, she has the same hairstyle as Cure Eclair, and Luluka seems to know her, but in previous episodes there was all that stuff about not jumping to conclusions, and in her speculation episode, she plays a character who wears a red bow in her hair, hence the red herring theory. As to why I think Kurea Howa is Cure Eclair:
-She’s appeared in more episodes than the other candidates
-She wears a butterfly hairclip, which appears to be Cure Eclair’s symbol (I know that Alexandra does too, but I digress)
-She’s a pastry chef, and Eclair is a dessert
-Her given name sounds a lot like Eclair when sounded out
-She’s the only character other than Mikuru who picked up on Anna’s homesickness, even though she doesn’t know that Anna is from the future, unlike Mikuru, which suggests a certain level of deduction skills
-She’s the only character who actually appears to be a good friend of the cures. They eat at Patisserie Chuchu regularly, she’s helped them with cases in the past, and she overall seems closer to the group than any of the other candidates
So unless Kurea’s episode completely proves me wrong, this is my answer for the Eclair debate as of now.
