(my life + fandom stuff kinda?)
Ok listen. I was like, 12 or 15 when i used to watch pkmn regularly, Ash & co were still in kanto at this point. I used to wonder where the heck is Ash's father, but i didnt think too much about it because this topic was almost never brought up.
And then somewhere along the lines, my brain was like 'wouldn't it be funny if Ash's eternal-but-not-quite enemy is actually his dad' or 'the sweet, gentle mom had a relationship with the big bad rocket boss'? I entertained the idea for a while, but there was nothing supporting this so didn't think too much about it, and completely forgot about it when pkmn stopped airing in my place (in total, i only watched the first pkmn movie and the anime shortly after May joined the gang).
Until now.
A few weeks ago i think i saw art of this ship somewhere on the internet and i absent-mindedly commented 'ha, how cute ^^' but then a friend pointed me out to a trivia from Pokemon Live!. I was FLABBERGASTED?? There is a vaguely canon content, and OTHER PEOPLE SHIP THIS??
They're like water pouring onto this... shipping seed that i've had since i was a kid and it's germinating djjdbdsjdbshdbd
(Also yes, I'm aware this is another rarepair (compared to many other popular pairing..) but shush. 12-year-old Chips is OVERJOYED.)
