I feel like Dina acts way more realistically in the show than in the game.

Dina actually feels like her own person in the show instead of an extension of Ellie and I feel like the seventh episode does an amazing job with her.

And though I like how the wash up scene is done in the game , in the show I feel like it really puts things into perspective.

because we see Dina being confronted with the information that Abby didn’t just kill Joel because she felt like it and that Abby may have been justified in her reasoning for killing Joel.

and she’s also fully confronted with the fact that they could’ve made a cure using Ellie but they couldn’t because Joel killed them all.

and you can see her reaction change as she gets more information— because this whole situation is all sorts of fucked up but now she’s starting to get more of Abby’s perspective and why she decided to kill Joel.

looking at it as a whole , from the game to the show , in my opinion I feel like dina is a way better character than she was in a game.

dina in the game is a true ride or die and that’s what we all love about her but also I feel like in the game she wasn’t exactly her own person but rather an extension of Ellie.

who existed mostly to boost Ellie’s character while in the show , they flesh her out more making her own person , like the choice to make her be there instead of Tommy giving her more of a reason to follow Ellie on her mission to kill Abby instead of just following her simply because Ellie was going.
