Later that night, the gremlins struck again

and the next morning, another repairman succumbed to fate. This time, Maurice was able to snap out of shock and plead for his life. The grim reaper wasn’t trying to hear it tho so he now has another urn added to his unwanted collection.

He called a repairman but... he wasn’t much help.

The next morning, he was greeted with a surprise...

Maurice Roman | Apt #17

Moved to the Spice Market with his girlfriend who dumped him just a few short weeks later. He considered going back home but ultimately decided to stick things out and turn this unfortunate event into an adventure. As a free man for the first time in six years, he wants to make friends, explore the city and fully embrace this newfound singleness -- at least I thought that was the plan until he flirted with the FIRST woman to cross his path! 

This was not the plan, Maurice!

The Romance Festival came to town

and Tatiana invited Maurice to go with her. She raved and raved about the art and the atmosphere so after having a glass of Sakura tea and getting all glowy, they made their way to one of the available easels where she gave him his first painting lesson. The end result -- two cats on opposite ends of a spaghetti noodle that would no doubt end in some mouth-to-mouth contact -- was definitely a hint at how he hoped the night would end. She called it cute and complimented him on his technique. After a little petal throwing and rose presenting (she loves roses) he finally decided to shoot his shot and went in for the big kiss -- a move in which she replied, “What took you so long?”

At this point, the events of the festival were the least interesting things they could think to do so they took the “date” back to his place and finished off the night getting to know each other much, much better.

And this ends Maurice’s rotation! Next up is Tatiana’s. Hope y’all enjoyed getting to know him!

On his way back home, he ran into one of his neighbors, Tatiana.

She had just knocked on his door, attempting to introduce herself and welcome him to the neighborhood, when he walked up. She could see he was upset and asked what was wrong. He told her all about the broken electronics and Mr. Repairman’s untimely demise. She informed him that this kind of thing happens all the time and that the last resident of Apartment 17 unfortunately suffered the exact same fate! This was terrifying news and had him considering packing his bags right then and there but then she gave him a comforting pat on the back with a sincere smile -- and that changed his mind instantly. “Maybe it won’t be so bad?” He says. “A little brush with death builds character.” He’s pretty sure he read that in a book somewhere. 

After work, Shania invited herself over again but this time she brought a guest, Tatiana.

Apparently, they’re pretty good friends who have known each other for a while. The first part of the evening consisted of them catching each other up on their day. The second half however, became the Maurice and Tatiana show and Shanice was feeling a bit… left out.

After Mr. Repairman RIP’d in his living room, he needed some fresh air...
