it wasn’t the kind of career she saw herself having, but she supposed it did suit her rather well, much better than any other profession she had before. he certainly must have thought so as well to even offer her the position, as competitive as the application process was. she had to admit she was greatly surprised that matthau had wanted her to work for him, and even months into the job, alison still felt some residual shock now and then, even if she did adjust into the office environment rather well.
perhaps she still felt out of place ( though it wasn’t as though she hated her job ), and as she approached the ceo’s office, a stack of letters in hand, she couldn’t help but still feel a bit anxious when it came to speaking with matthau. a deep breath, the brunette hesitating a moment before raising her other hand to knock on his door, alison waiting for a response before letting herself in.
“morning, mister davisson.” a polite greeting, the misses stepping inside and letting the door shut behind her. “i sorted today’s mail for you. the two on top are time sensitive, so it’d be best if you read them first.”
