Hi! I'm probably gonna start here this oct, and i'd love to join some sports. (High school did not allow time for me to engage in one properly(: ) i wanna know is the boat club any good? I'm okay in sports but not at athlete at all, but rowing really makes me wanna try. Are they like super competitive and for pros only?
The main Cambridge Boat Club is super competitive and pretty much for pros only, but rowing is really easy to get involved in! Each college has their own boat club, and Michaelmas is generally known as ‘novice term’, so people with no experience in rowing (or any other sports, for that matter) can give it a go! You can then decide whether or not you want to keep going. A lot of people at Cam row at some point during their degree, so you could definitely get involved!
