Chapter 16: Dalliances and Dualities

“Oh, don’t make me out to be the bad guy,” Bertha pouts. “I’m not being mean. I’m just saying with this political climate we all ought to be less reckless with who we associate with. I mean, the Slytherin’s are right there.”

“Oh, are they now?” Lily says with a breathy laugh. “Well, in that case—”

The next few moments happen in a blur. One minute he’s debating which is worse: letting Lily pull her wand on his best mate’s girlfriend or him doing it himself and the next his head is being drawn up into a kiss, Lily’s lips already opening for him the moment they touch. 

Suddenly, he doesn’t care about Bertha anymore. Couldn’t even pick her out of a line-up if asked. 

Lily Evans is kissing him. Kissing him where everyone can see it.

Chapter 15 : And It All Washes Away

Washing James’s hair is just as impossible as taming it. He hardly keeps still, bending in to kiss her chest and neck when he sees fit, tipping his head back to laugh, swivelling at random with the expressiveness of his words. Worst of all, he isn’t even sorry that it takes triple the amount of time to wash the suds out as it should, grinning cheekily as he pulls her down into the water to give her a submerged kiss.

Finally going to be addressing the elephants in the room this chapter (and by elephant I mean a deer, dog, rat, and werewolf)

A teensy snippet because I can:

After they start dating, Lily wears James jersey for the first time to one of his games. At the victory party, he whispers to her that when they leave, he wants her to keep the jersey on while they fuck.

Chapter 9: Flyer's High

“Mmmmm, a bath sounds nice…nice smells…like you…you’re nice everything.”

Lily smiles. “I think sleep should sound nice—or maybe a hangover draught. Jesus Potter, what did your mates pump you with?”

James shakes his head, moving it more loose than normal. His hand starts threading with hers, playing aimlessly with her fingers.

“Don’t worry about me. Be right as rain in the morning. Got a strong disposition— fuck , you’re pretty. Have I told you that?”

It's coming! gahhhh.

I had this marvellous plan last weekend to Publish the prologue AND chapter one of No Great Matter if not at the same time then a day apart and of course life punished me for thinking that would be an easy feat.

SO, my current list of to do is:

Get Ch. one of No great Matter up ASAP. (Preferably tomorrow)

THEN the next chapter of CTW2.0

Chapter 8: It's My Party

James gets up a little later than usual, his dream so vivid it flushes all the thought out of his brain. What had it been? A fall night? A small cottage with toys strewn about after a day of playing? Someone is at the door— I’ll get it! He yells but it’s already opening, a green light shining and his body hitting the floor…

But he can’t worry about some silly dream now. It’s a beautiful day! He goes down to the Great Hall for a bit of morning tea and strolls to the pitch with a spring in his step. Above, the birds are chirping, the wind perfect for a morning fly. Everything feels bright and beautiful and exactly as it should be. 

He doesn’t have time for nightmares— Lily Evans is snogging him now.
