The payphone acts as a conduit between the human and technology. Reminiscent and acting as a mascot for the communication technologies of the past. Those rail roads, TV circuits and sewer lines that form the basis for the internet we have today.  To humanise these concepts I needed something tangible. The payphone performs it’s function as an important symbol for the project’s concept while simultaneously being the project’s mechanics.  I also think they look cool.

This allows me to receive and decode real-world radio signals at a range from 25MHz-1750MHz.  Ideally I would like to receive incoming frequencies from satellites, but this will take a lot of work in building an antenna. 

Today we had to talk about what we were working on in class.  Turns out I didn’t really know what singularity is.  After some explanation from Laurent I think I have a better understanding and am back on track.  Lucky it is only week 3 so I have a lot of time to figure things out.
