1.) (If you already had it) what was your first kiss like? Was it everything you expected or was it horribly embarrassing like mine lol

I’ve never had my first kiss before heh 

2.) Do you believe in the concept of a soul mate? why or why not?

hmm...well, it’s difficult for me to believe in this concept because people typically do not move far distances. because of this, I find it hard to believe that you can find “the one” so close to you when someone halfway across the world could suit you even better. I’m not saying that you can’t find people who you can connect with and even stay with for 60+ years near you, but I find it a bit difficult to grasp.

3.) If you speak another language, what is your favorite word or phrase in that language and why?

in Viet, I personally love the word for sweet potato (khoai lang), cheese (pho mát) and lotus (bông sen), but said in the southern dialect. I’m not sure why, but I just really love how it’s pronounced lol. The word for sweet potato used to remind me of a flower for some reason. And the word for cheese is actually a borrowed term from the French (fromage).

4.) What is the one thing someone could say to you that would completely melt your heart?

er, probably something super duper cheesy that you can find in a romance movie. If you say something that can pertain to my insecurities and how you accept and are okay with them, then that’s something that’ll really get me. Or, expressing that you truly, deeply care for me.

5.) What is your favorite food that is not of your own culture?

hmm...i’ve never really had real food from a culture other than my own (i’ve only had the superficial kind of stuff, like spaghetti and enchiladas) so I’m not sure. I do admittedly like enchiladas though.

6.) Tell me what your thoughts are on how to go about life. Do you take things a day at a time? Live by any morals like forgive & forget? Do you tend to be an optimist or pessimist?

I’ve been learning to take things day by day and have realized that some things are just a slow process; you can’t expect results like the drop of a hat and that that is totally okay

If someone has wronged me, I will be angry for awhile. I may avoid them. But in the end, I’ll let that anger go. I may not forgive them (even if they apologize) and I won’t forget it, but I’ll still be able to talk to them, smooth things out, and pretend that things are totally fine with no blemishes.

I’m also someone who’s pretty okay with most things. Like you could tell me you’re sexually attracted to trees, and hey, that’s different but I’m not gonna judge you for it. At a young age, I started putting myself in other people’s shoes and realized that I wouldn’t like it if you made fun of me, so I’m definitely not gonna make fun of you.

A couple of years back, while I was going through an extremely tough time with 2 forms of a mental illness, I was a pessimist. Nowadays, I find myself pretty optimistic (although, this does scare me and make me feel like I’ve lost who I am considering I’ve always been pessimistic most of my life). I’d say maybe I’m 70% optimistic and 30% pessimistic now though c:

7.) Describe your safe place and reasons to make you go to it

I don’t get out much, and don’t find the outdoors comforting at all, so my safe place is definitely my bedroom. Reasons I’d go to it is simply because I’m exhausted and can’t bring myself to be with others, I’ve borrowed some books from the library and want to hide under the covers to read them, or if I got into an argument with my parents.

9.) If you could change your name, what would you change it to and why?

I’m pretty content with my name, but the names Celia, Cecily, or a combo of the two, Cecilia, are likely candidates. Those are names I’d name my daughter if I ever have one. They also remind me of the color purple and crystals, and something quite regal.

10.) Tell me your top 5 dream destinations!

china (cities + countrysides), korea, czech republic, sweden, and switzerland (and ok you said 5 but i want to visit as many places as possible so i’m putting ireland, hong kong, and taiwan on here too; i heard ireland’s very beautiful, hong kong has a breathtaking skyline, and taiwan because i used to go to vietnam nearly every year and we always stopped in taiwan for 12-16 hrs on our way)
