So the Chainsaw Man Church is just a straight up cult. I was hesitant to call them that before cause I was thinking "well maybe it's just a club of people trying to stop the world from going to shit" cause lets be real there are a lot of people out there trying to ruin the world to further they own self interest. So this guy is confirmed to be Kobeni's younger brother.

The entire church really is just 1:1 with the cult shit. They did not try to hide it in the slightest. Welcome to my favorite segment: How to start a Cult 1. Create a figure head, A metaphorical (or literal) god! Someone connected to your Cult's god in some way. They could be a prophet or literally god themselves. 2. Create an "Other" who your members can rally against. Always have someone who your followers can hate. Hatred is a strong and driving emotion. It could be a minority group, A majority group, or even anyone who isn't in the cult. 3. Slowly indoctrinate members by separating them from their families and convincing them their previous way of life was wrong. Of course you can't be too strong at first. Ease into it. Be nice to them until they're willing to listen to your more extreme ideas. 4. Grow your numbers by indoctrinating more people. You can even have your loyal followers have kids which they'll bring into the cult from birth. It's far easier to brainwash people with propaganda if it's all they know. Fun. Back our regularly scheduled program.

i wonder if denji will soon meet someone who was similarly promised a high position and luscious rewards for joining the chainsaw man church, only to be disgusted by their views on sex and marriage, who will then help him navigate the position he's in being trapped and threatened by the two sides, the church and public safety.
