“we had some good memories”, jungkook would start, at first his doe eyes would look at you with fondness, the memories of his childhood trips to jeju and even tokyo flooding his brain with images and moments when he was truly happy and let himself go, his parents and sister always there by his side. but then he would sigh, as everything breaks and reality sinks, one where he’s too busy and poor to have a proper vacation, one where his week days off are his small vacations and he spends it mostly taking small (and cheap) subway trips to a neighbor district just to take pictures and enjoy a day at a place where people don’t know him and he doesn’t know them - it’s a bliss for him, honestly.
