Honestly I think a good matchup for you would be Classic Papyrus (Rus)

Rus may usually come across as incredibly boisterous and self important, but even so, those he cares about are just as important to him! He primarily tries to use a positive attitude and levity to combat any negativity, but with someone he’s close to, he knows when to turn it down a notch, and he’s a lot more perceptive than most give him credit for. He’d be very in tune with your headspace and social battery and tries hard to be mindful. Rus is also very stubborn about negative self thoughts, that’s his friend/partner you’re talking about!

In a relationship, you certainly wouldn’t be lacking on attention and hugs, as Rus tends towards physical and verbal shows of affection! And as an aspiring chef, the two of you would certainly bond over time in the kitchen exploring new and debatably edible recipes! He may get a bit carried away at times, but he listens, and if he ever did something that upset you or was even just inconsiderate, he’d make a genuine effort to do better by you.

He’s a loyal monster, with a lot of energy, love, and…okay maybe his communication skills need some work, but he will be there for you no matter what!

I’m a weird mix of both introverted and extroverted traits; I’m pretty quiet and just keep to myself most of the time but I can also be pretty energetic and out there (and impulsive) when I get spontaneous bursts of confidence - I have a habit of dissociating and get a pretty strong RBF from it that makes me look mad but I've been told I perk right back to up to smiley and whatnot as soon as someone talks to me!

I do have a habit of returning energy to people - if you're excited and hyped up I’ll be excited and hyped up too, if your sad I’ll be sad, if you’re hostile towards me I’ll be hostile as well, etc.

Other than that I’m just a pretty relaxed person in general, I usually sit in the background of conversations and listen in, draw, and of course - always bring up the reptiles at some point. I always have pictures of my geckos or some silly amphibian to show friends or friendly strangers between conversations 🦎

As for a type; Honestly not sure, I don’t really have a preference as long as they're willing to communicate!

If I’m being honest I’m not sure if you’d be partners or besties but the best partners are besties aren’t they? I’m thinking of Stretch (Underswap Papyrus)!

Stretch is (outwardly) very laid back, friendly, and has a silly sense of humor! Inwardly he’s a bit anxious and awkward, but has long since (mostly) learned to hide it well. Nonetheless, the two of you would likely get along like two peas in a pod!

He’s not so much reflective as he is the kind of guy who gets along well with almost anyone, and he can feel a bit out of place with heavier emotions and situations. Not for lack of sympathy, but out of concern he wouldn’t be good at helping, so he tends to offer more of a shoulder to cry on or brings a little levity to the situation, while also trying to be respectful. As is the way with most Papyri, he struggles a bit with social aspects of relationships, so he would love to spend time just hanging out with you, either mutually doing your own things or chatting about interests (and he would love the little creatures). He’d really admire your flexible personality, and enjoy the energy and confidence just as much as your more chill side!

Even though he feels awkward doesn’t mean he always comes across that way, and still does enjoy going out or exploring from time to time, and has a pretty broad, casual friend circle. Really, he’s happy to go with your flow or take you along with his whenever the vibes align.

His communication skills…need work. But he is willing to put that work in for the right person, and the effort would be noticeable with time. Like anything, it takes practice, and you’d put him at ease enough he’d find an easier time communicating with you than most. And not just with communication, he’d start putting more effort into taking better care of himself, too, and with time, he’d quite literally become a better person for having a partner who is just as much a friend, and he would become a reliable, bright, and affectionate partner!

Hi worstieeee, you get Sans (of Undertale fame), he’s a terrible partner and he refuses to take anything seriously, you two will be in a very antagonistic relationship neither will end from sheer stubborn determination to piss the other person off to the point of calling it quits, but the problem is neither of you are willing to put enough effort in to be an actually abhorrent enough partner

im pretty chill mostly and flexible about stuff, except literally (physically) flexible tho. i am also truthful and open and kinda expect others to be like that as well.

I think a good matchup for you would be Ghost (Fellswap Glass Papyrus)!

Even though Ghost leans more aroace, he’s grey enough on the scale that he could potentially have a partner, and even do well in a relationship!

An affectionate partner would be good for him, since it would take a lot of time and patience to soften him up, but once he does, he shows a lot of affection through quality time, and that includes just relaxing and cuddling often, or listening to anything you’d like to talk about. He’s selectively mute, but he’s a great listener, and can sometimes offer very good advice, or even just provide comfort if warranted.

Ghost is very perceptive, yet when it comes to his own role in social situations, he rarely knows how he’s supposed to act, and thus often doesn’t bother trying, so he’d be very understanding of your processing problem and try to help put you at ease. More often than not, because of his cold outward appearance, people see him as intimidating and rude himself, so he may teasingly reassure you that compared to him you’ll always look like a polite ray of sunshine.

He is a rare pretty straightforward swap, so you’ll rarely find yourself lacking any communication with him, and he would likewise appreciate your honesty, which is something he’d have to get used to given the underground he hails from. At the end of the day, the two of you would likely get along very well, and find yourself in an easy, comforting sort of relationship!

My personality can be described as a mix of the mom friend, the smart one, and the group leader.

The mom friend comes from me being both pretty responsible and being a good advice-giver. When my friends are having problems they go to me for advice, which I'm more than happy to give. I'm also the one to suggest the more responsible and 'smart' options for situations. It's also worth noting that I'm pretty damn perceptive when it comes to people. I may not be able to read your mind but I can tell when something is up.

The smart friend side comes out whenever anyone has an oddly specific question. I know a lot of random stuff just because I enjoy reading and learning in general so I'm usually able to answer with at least a little bit.

The group leader is just because (according to others) I have a natural air of authority around me. I'm not afraid to express my thoughts or take charge of a situation, so people just sort of let me stay in a leadership position. If the group needs to make a final decision I'd be the one to call the final shot.

As for what I look for in a partner? I love people who don't mind physical touch. I'm very touchy-feely with EVERYONE I know, platonic or not, and it's just a big way for me to show my love to people. I also enjoy discussion and hearing people talk. Talking with another person in-depth about something or just hearing them talk is always great. The final thing is leadership, while not entirely necessary, it's something I really enjoy in people. I take a leadership role so often that someone else willing to step up to the spot is not only appreciated but incredibly admirable.

Of any of the characters, I think you’d do really well with Iris (Underswap Toriel)!

Iris has seen a thing or two in her long life, she’s been through the wringer, made a lot of difficult decisions, but still, she is a patient, kind hearted monster at her core.

The two of you align in many ways, as far as being strong leaders and responsible types, as well as being intelligent and good natured. Iris loves to learn, especially from others’ experiences, so the two of you would likely be able to talk about all sorts of things varying wildly in level of seriousness and topic. Similarly, she would share a respect of you and your own skills, and never fail to let you know it! She’s lost many people important to her, so she’s come to be very open and straightforward with her feelings a lot of the time, well aware things can change at the drop of a hat and never wanting anything important to go unsaid.

She’s sweet and quiet a lot of the time, but she can get very serious when the situation calls for it, and she faces challenges head on. She can be strong willed and stubborn at times, but she is good intentioned, and with a little patience, will calm down to a more open minded headspace. She loves to bake and go for long strolls, and she even likes to keep memento journals! She’s also fond of physical affection, and her fur is very very soft, good for cuddles.
