The Savior's Task
Yusnaan. The one place where the festivities never stopped. It had become a home to the redhead, who was walking past the Slaughterhouse. Tonight, like any other night, would be another rendition of the play about the Savior. Claire had heard that the police officers were looking for her and that she posed a great risk. Was someone who was given the name the Savior really that dangerous? Sure, she had heard tales of what she did to the Patron, Snow, but... was she really considered a threat?
Claire didn't think so, but she knew that if she spoke ill of the law enforcement agency that it would spell trouble for her. She did not want to be reminded again of what the Purge intended to do so long ago. A sigh came forth and she relaxed against a wall.
It seemed so long ago that she was starting to learn what her Focus was, but now with the end of the world lingering over their heads, did her Focus really matter anymore if the world was doomed to end? Her brand was still there and still very active, although it was something that she was trying to keep under wraps however possible.
"I'm being pathetic again," she mused, moving off the wall. Being a l'Cie, she knew it was dangerous for her to be around others. What if, when she lost her focus and became a Cie'th, she'd hurt all these people? Her head slowly shook to get rid of those thoughts as her feet took her past the Slaughterhouse, into the Road to War and down Hawker's Row. She walked through the Aromatic Market, waving to people as she made her way through Central Avenue and down to the Industrial Area.
It wasn't a safe place to be, especially when monsters born from the Chaos could come for her, but it was the safest place a l'Cie like her could be in. She made a small shelter by the old railway that connected Yusnaan to the Dead Dunes. Fitting, she thought when she made the shelter. If she did lose her Focus, she could always flee to Dead Dunes.
She pulled the ratty blanket she had stashed in between a nook and sat down, sighing. Maybe this time, she'd be able to doze off and not wake up.
