I spent all this time working on painting Kitakami's Crystal Pool for an upcoming video, and it barely appears in the final product 😅 So I figured I'd upload it here!
Today’s Backstory: Crystal Pool
Crystal Pool is one of the pack’s main scouts, having become a scout to follow in her mother Nasuyekwi’s pawsteps. She and her sister Smoke Cloud scouted together for several years, before Crystal Pool took a break to raise her pup, and allow for Cracking Ice to become a scout before she became leader.
After Abaise’s death, Crystal Pool became a scout again, now that Cracking Ice was leader, and her daughter Winter Day was an adult. While she has since had a son, Silver Shine, she continued to be a scout, and as such, isn’t as close to him as she is to Winter Day. She is still very close to her mate Mahetuya, despite her long absences from the camp.
Crystal Pool befriended a fox named Swift during her scouting before her break. While they can slightly understand each other, it is a bit hard at times. However, they still are good friends, Swift helping Crystal Pool on scouting missions in exchange for food and shelter with the pack.
