This sweet little fellow took my breath away this morning. @lorinelsonart is an artist who's work I feel such a deep connection with - probably more than just about any other artist painting right now. She paints in my language. Her works are about feeling alien - being different and not really belonging is the main narrative behind pretty much all of my own pieces, so when I see Lori's work, my heart melts. I feel so blessed to be able to create in the same time and world as this beautiful human being. Before my surgery I moved her painting "Smouldereen" to hang right next to my bed.
