Ozpin listened attentively to all the doctor had to say, internally preparing to see the dear soul he thought long lost. His gut tied itself in guilty knots, ashamed that they had given up so easily. Which, of course, was why he had arrived ahead of Summer and her daughter. Best to assertain Qrowâs condition before Summer arrived.
With the doctorâs leave he approached Qrow. His heart ached for how thin and lost he looked. He quietly sat on the nearby bench before venturing to gently say his name.
âQrow?â
Qrow winced ever so slightly at the voice calling his name. Shame wrapped its gnarling tendrils around his insides. He closed his eyes and gave a shuddering breath. The Doctors said that he would have visitors soon, but Qrow wasnât sure he could handle it. He wasnât even sure if this were real or not.
Mustering his courage, Qrow inhaled slowly and he tried to focus his eyes on the old Headmasterâs visage. He couldnât look at him for more than a few seconds before his gaze turned away in remorse.
âI'm sorry...â he managed to croak out on the verge of tears.
In Liaâs final year at Signal she took second place in a tournament (her first one)Â that qualified her for the Vale Regional Tournament. She was worried Oz was going to disappointed that she didnât take first.Â

It was Lia first year, while Azule her team leader was usually a calm and collected person. Lia laughed for like five minutes.

She was wrapped tightly in a hug. She felt the kiss on her hair. âLia, I want you, and I will always love you.â She felt so safe and cared for⌠it was the first time since all of this began.
âThank you Oz.â She gripped his jacket so tight, she did not want to let go. She was safe nowâŚÂ

âItâs Qrow, Ozpin. Heâs stubborn and heâs angry and he wonât change as long as those two things are going on! Iâve had faith in the past, Iâve seen people change, but not this drastic!
