In the danish show they're a pretty average family and all of this affects the mom's job more than his one actually. But maybe in this version they're switching it up a bit?

Also I think Shawn is so going to nail that role.

I do think the suit is making me lean toward more of a public facing profession/position which could potentially contribute to losing his job when the allegations come out. Just curious what your thoughts are.

I was thinking the same. I think him having a job where he's more publicly visible would add to the stress of the situation especially if the attention leads to him losing his job/position.

We’ve seen him as a doctor, firefighters, detective, cop, mayor. I’m so curious to know what he’s going to be especially from the maybe one picture of him on set. Thanks in advance for your response. we don't really know anything about shawn's character other than he's the stepdad, he doesn't even have a name yet. i can't remember what the danish stepdad did for work or if i even came across that.

i wonder if he has like a construction job or works something more white collar. considering what he's being accused of he might lose his job or be suspended. so will it be a job where public scrutiny may play a bigger part because he's more visible in the community or does he work something more blue collar where he's less in the public eye but feels the loss of income more than the public scrutiny?
