The outskirts of Farnbury’s forest are good for hunting, or camping, or the occasional runaway. But no one wanders into the blackwood. No one, except for those who secretly don’t want to come back out. Nico and Dia are there most days. Fingers tangled, laughing, rioting bodies. When the others start wandering in too, the blackwood doesn’t seem so dangerous.
