Elevate your ham game with Southern Pecan Crusted Ham. The pecan glaze adds a sweet and nutty crunch to the succulent spiral-cut ham, making it a perfect centerpiece for Southern gatherings.
Ingredients: 1 spiral-cut ham. 1 cup pecans, finely chopped. 1/2 cup brown sugar. 1/4 cup Dijon mustard. 1/4 cup honey. 2 tablespoons butter, melted. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves. Salt and black pepper to taste.
Instructions: Set the oven to 325F 163C before you start cooking. Put chopped pecans, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, honey, melted butter, ground cinnamon and cloves, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Put the ham with the fat side up in a roasting pan. Spread the pecan mixture all over the ham, making sure to cover all of the slices. With the foil over the ham, bake it in a hot oven for about an hour. Once you take off the foil, bake for another 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 140F 60C. Every 15 minutes, baste the ham with the pan juices. After the ham is done, let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes before cutting it. The Southern Pecan Crusted Ham slices should be served with the tasty pan juices. Enjoy the ham with a touch of Southern charm that is glazed and topped with pecans.
