There are two layers of rich chocolate brownie in these Double Decker Butterfinger Brownies, and in the middle is a creamy, crunchy Butterfinger filling. With a smooth peanut butter frosting on top, they're a sweet treat for any event.
Ingredients: 1 box brownie mix. 3 large eggs. 1/2 cup vegetable oil. 1/4 cup water. 1 cup chopped Butterfinger candy bars about 6 bars. 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter. 1/4 cup unsalted butter. 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar. 2 tablespoons milk.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350F 175C. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan. In a large mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Stir until well combined. Spread half of the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking pan. In a separate bowl, mix together the chopped Butterfinger bars and peanut butter. Spread this mixture evenly over the first layer of brownie batter. Carefully spread the remaining brownie batter over the Butterfinger layer, covering it completely. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. While the brownies are baking, prepare the frosting. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Once the brownies are done baking, let them cool completely in the pan. Then, spread the frosting over the top of the cooled brownies. Cut into squares and serve. Enjoy!
