Eventually he stopped, shoulders sagging as he looked at Soren. His brow was drawn and pinched with worry, but a light smile tugged at his lips. 

“Uh...hi.”

she was already struggling to keep her laughter contained.

“You look....surprisingly upright.” He’d heard through so many different whispers that the crown’s guard had been grievously wounded in the fight against the dragon. It was a shock to hear that Soren had even survived, but to be hurt so badly that people in neighboring towns had heard about it, and to be walking no more than a few days later, even Crovus was stumped for an answer.

    “OH-kay. Who—? That was NOT there before. I’m sure that wasn’t there... Who puts a BENCH right—Am I crazy?” Whether through embarrassment or genuine confusion over his blunder (definitely the prior, because he absolutely knew that was there and still managed to topple over it), Hiccup prattled on while he tried to right himself. Legs all but ENTANGLED around the stone structure, it took a few grunts of effort to set them free. By then, the crownsguard he had been attempting to... what, WOO? Was THAT what he was doing?

    —Gods, if he only knew.

         nerves spread through her stomach. she can study and google as much as she can but there never seems to be enough information to help her truly have any real idea how people would actually act in the castle. she knows another nation is visiting today and perhaps she’s trying to avoid seeing them at all until the rebels were meeting any of them. she’s just not good at making impressions unless she’s being introduced through a battle itself.
