Manipulative Bastard  —While The Chessmaster is the master manipulator of events, situations, and circumstances, the Manipulative Bastard is the master manipulator of emotions, perspectives, psychologies as well as anything and everything else that can get people dancing to their tune. This is the guy or gal who gets off on playing head games—clever and dangerous and lacking comedic overtones (usually). He or she always has a plan, but rather than do any work, the Manipulative Bastard prefers to play on other characters’ emotions and minds and then watch the victims destroy themselves as they waste their energy on fighting against fake dangers or their friends.

       ‘ what would one curiosity want of another, I wonder ? ‘ Has she come to pilfer his treasures perhaps ? His home is home to rarer finds, not of this plane. Twisted amalgamations of flesh and soul, dark forged and curse tempered. Relics, innocent looking in nature, if one overlooks their inscription { foreign tongues lovingly written, curse words brazenly carved }. ‘ In any case, ‘ he pauses, exhales a thin stream of smoke between jagged teeth, ‘ make yourself at home. ‘

Incredibly  easy .  I  headcanon  that  Gabriel  back  during  his  time  in  Blackwatch  had  a  knack  for  reading  body  language .  And  he  was  scarily  accurate  .  You  could  put  on  your  best  pokerface  on  but  he  was  specifically  trained  to  read  the  body  language  during  interrogation .  And  that  carries  on  to  Reaper  too  .  He  can’t  just  sense  your  fear ---  he  can see  it .

FAMILY ,  FAMILY .  (  Ruination  —- -  isolation .  Family — ?  He  once  believed  in  family –  )  He  died  in  the  throes  of  abandonment  .  What  happened  then -  Where  were  they  when  he  needed  them  —-  WHY  DOES  YOUR  SUFFERING  MATTER  MORE  THAN  MINE — ?  The  deafening  silence  is  a  distorted  church  bell  to  his  ears  .  He  bares  those  pointed  ivories  where  she  cannot  see  them  .  He  has  become  a  jumble  of  static  —  an  ancient  horror ,  deity  with  the  flesh  of  martyrs  strung  between  his  teeth  .  Where  the  dying  screams  of  the  damned  become  TRAPPED  in  this  hell bound  revenant -  “  Of  course  you  don’t  .  It  was  hardly  a  family  to  begin  with .  ”  Where  were  their  glory  days  ?  Where  have  they  gone  ?  BURIED  ,  SIX  FEET  UNDER  .  Locked  inside  iron  maiden  -  he  still  thinks  about  them  sometimes  .  The  memories  …  they  haunt  him  .  (  What  have  I  done — ?  I  :  ROT  MOUTHED  CORPSE  ,  I –  THE  USURPER  ,  I  THE  DOOM BRINGER  .  I  should  have  listened  .  I  should  have —-  )  “  Move  on  .  You  allow  your  past  to  anchor  you  into  place  .  Gabriel  Reyes  is  DEAD  and  I  felt  him  DIE  .  ”  Die  a  death  worse  than  drowning  .  A  death  worse  than  burning  —  he  died  alone   .
