Mr. Crowley
Crowley x Fem!Reader
Warnings: none really, maybe a little mention of ‘activities’. Fluff and Romance.
Summary: Crowley hadn’t been sure that you liked him, but when he hears from another friend of yours he’s glad to return the feeling.
“Nice place. You get all the channels down here?”
Crowley lifts his head to find an angel standing in the center of his throne room, but not just any. “Ah, Gabriel.” He greets with anything but a welcoming tone. Not that the archangel expected much. “Come to taint my peace with your terrible jokes and family’s petty affairs, have you?”
Gabriel shakes his head. “On any other day I would say yes, but this is a different type of business meeting. More like a curtesy visit.” He tucks his arms behind his back, rocking back-and-forth on the balls of his feet. Crowley could sense that the angel was hiding something, but knowing Gabriel— Cheeky little shit that he is—would never give him a direct answer. It was always a riddle, or a joke that seemed to only leave him laughing and the others with a metaphorical ‘egg on their face’.
“Well, do tell.” He encourages, waving to Gabriel, who still wore the stupidly wide grin. “Or get out of my fucking throne room, you little shit.”
“Woah, woah, easy there handsome.” Gabriel attempts to calm him down with that usual carefree flare he’d used over the years. Holding up his hands in mock defense, “I just came to tell you-“ He points to him, watching the demon’s eyes narrow, “-that I heard, from a little birdie, that a little someone has a crush on you. Thought you might wanna know, my lord.” Gabriel bows dramatically and Crowley scoffs.
“Care to elaborate, feathers?” He questions, resting his cheek against knuckles, almost unamused.
Gabriel smirks, “Course. You know her very well. An old friend of yours.”
The sweet, earthly nuttiness of the oils mixed well the sweet softness of the acrylic as Crowley entered the room. Unbeknownst to the stranger that sat in the middle of the room. Sat hunched over their latest work on canvas. From here he could make out very little details, but each stroke of the brush had begun to show just exactly whom the subject was. He steps close, careful not to knock over any supplies that had been left astray on the ground. The room was littered with tools, other works of art, some finished and some just started. The closer he got to you he could see the center of the portrait resembled an almost striking likeness to him. Realizing that’s because you were painting him.
The song blaring into your ears, had helped bring the inspiration for this piece. Ozzy Osbourne’s infamous song Mr. Crowley had been the center of this inspiration, not that it had helped your mind had been so focused on him. The very king of hell himself and truly you couldn’t stop. Deciding to put all that feeling and emotion into a portrait. That’s when you had realized the warm breath that tickled your cheek, a chill that fell along your spine, and the bumps that pricked along your skin. He was here.
He gently pries the headphones from your head, and you slowly turn to face the demon of your dreams. Locking eyes with those deep-rich brown rings. They had seen so much, centuries of life, betrayal, and a life beyond death. Now here you were, eye to eye with the very king of hell. There was something so artistically perfect about. He smelled faintly of scotch, and pine, it was oddly intoxicating. “Crowley.” His name falls from your lips almost as a whisper.
“Hello, love. I heard you had been thinking about me.” His own timbre is just as soft as yours as he speaks and there is just a hint of lust, but you couldn’t be sure.
You blink, looking anywhere but the man of your fantasies, dare not looking him in the eyes for fear of him reading your thought. Despite the fact he could do it either way, looking at him or not. “Who,” You swallow thickly, “Who told you?”
He hums tilting his head left and right, catching your gaze once more when you look back to him. “Let’s say a little bird told me.”
Damn it, Gabriel! It was supposed to be a secret and you had confided in your guardian angel thinking he would have kept it a secret, but he was a tricky one. “Don’t look so disappointed, love.”
You set down the brush and palette, careful not to disturb the colors that sat on its surface. Reaching out for your headphones to take from Crowley and he lets you, but not without gently brushing his fingers along your wrist as you do so. “I-I’m not.” You argue, giving a shake of your head. That’s when the blush creeps onto the apples of your cheeks, “Just the opposite. I’m embarrassed.”
He stands up straight, watching you step off from the still you’d been perched on. This allowed him a much better view of the piece that had been taking up hours of your time, no doubt your thoughts. It truly was amazing, he had always wondered how you had been able to get the ideas from your mind and onto the canvas. “Do you like it?” Your softness causes him to turn on his heels, not even noticing that you had walked away, standing over a small sink and rinsing out some brushes less they get dry, crack, and become unsalvageable.
“Love it? It’s magnificent, I adore it love.” He answers, the pride showing through in his tone.
That’s when his arms wrap around your waist, cheek against yours. The gentle scruff of his bear tickles your cheek, “Just not as much as I find myself adoring you, darling.” Another laugh escapes your lips, and your eyes flick to your reflection in the small mirror hanging above the sink. You could see him, the adoration within those chestnut eyes. You turn in his arms facing the demon and smiling up at him. His hands still sitting on your hips, Crowley was stuck. Did he want to kiss you? Yes. Should he? He wasn’t sure.
However with a sudden boldness and the speed you hadn’t known yourself to posses, you grab him by the tie and yank him down closer. Crashing your lips onto his. Months of waiting, thinking, and love poured into one action. It only took him a moment to adjust and kiss you back if not with more passion than a demon should possess, but he was feeling a bit human at the moment and he wasn’t going to turn back now.
You were the only thing in this world Crowley didn’t feel like he had to control, to be a step ahead of, and he certainly didn’t have to give up anything. Except his undying love for you. That was enough for him, a sacrifice worth the effort.
So when he pulls away, his hands gently cupping your face into his palms. “Don’t ever think for a moment I won’t spend every moment loving you, sweetheart. You are the only thing in my life worth giving everything up for. Now how about you and I participate in another form of art?”
Gabriel had come to visit you a day later, and he was absolutely sure you had spoken to Crowley already. Because while he was sitting next to you, as you painted and just made polite conversation, he saw them. The slightly fresh, purple and red bruises peeking out from the t-shirt you were wearing. He smiles to himself, he should have hooked you guys up sooner.
Hope you love it pookie! I loveeeeed writing this!
