Day 3 and it's finally finished

Ultimate cross stitch goals. To make this pattern of the bird of paradise, the bird that represents my home country Papua New Guinea. It already seems like a tedious task, with over 70 colours, I'm not even too sure how long it will take me to complete.

I only started cross stitching about 3 weeks ago… Not because I wanted to, I did it to commemorate my mother’s passing 4 years ago. She was a such a simple person, which made her the most beautiful soul I’ve ever known. She was into knitting and crocheting, but I opted for cross stitching only because it was the easier choice. And to be honest, I’ve been loving every second of it. It’s such a good past time, I’ve spent so many hours cross stitching without even realising how much time has gone by. It’s simple in terms of technique, and I’ve realised that I’ve become more patient and in control over the past few weeks…

Day 2 of my Disney character cross stitch pattern. As you can see, it’s Jasmine from Aladdin. I’m about 80% done. I’ll most likely be finished by tomorrow
