Williamsport would use two errors by Doubledays 2nd basemen Cody Dent to take a 2-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning. Jairo Cardozo, who reached on the 1st Dent err would score on an RBI single by Cutters 3rd Basemen Zach Green to make it 1-0. Andrew Knapp, who reached on a walk, would score on a RBI Feilder's Choice to 3rd by Logan Pierce to make it 2-0 Cutters.

In the bottom half of the 1st inning with two outs, Cody Gunter drilled a Shane Martin offering up the middle for a single. Isaac Ballou attempted to score from 2nd base but was thrown out by a combination of a great throw by centerfielder Gustavo Martinez and a great block of home plate by catcher Gabriel Lino to keep the Doubledays off the board.

Shane Martin allowed the first two batters of the 2nd inning to get into scoring position. He preceded to strikeout the next three batters he faced to keep Auburn scoreless.

In the bottom of the 3rd inning, Shane Martin allowed a leadoff home run to Doubledays centerfielder Isaac Ballou to make it a 2-1 Doubledays deficit.

Jake Johansen would be replaced by Silvio Medina in the top of the 6th inning. Johansen went five innings and allowed two unearned runs on five hits. He struck out three Crosscutters. He was on the hook for the loss when he was replaced.

Shane Martin would be replaced in the bottom of the 6th inning by Felix Santos. Martin went 5 innings allowing one run on seven hits while striking out a season high seven Doubledays.

In the 7th inning, Auburn would cut into the Cutters lead on an RBI single by Isaac Ballou to score Jordan Poole, who led off the inning with a double down the left field line, to make it 3-2.

Santos would be replaced by Manny Martinez in the top of the 8th inning. Santos went two innings allowing one run on two hits. Sonatos did not walk or strikeout a batter.

Martinez faced a two-on two-out jam in the 8th with a big strikeout of Jordan Poole with the tying run on 3rd base.

Mark Meadors would come in the bottom of the 9th inning to earn his 2nd save of the year as the Crosscutters improve to 18-15 on the season.
