The Pretty Things - I’m Falling (1980)
Here’s one that fell between the cracks. Inspired by the Punk/New Wave groups of the late 70s, the Pretty Things reunited and recorded Cross Talk. Sounds a bit like a less metal Thin Lizzy to me.

Yamada: Although we exchange presents between members of the group, we don’t give each other chocolates for Valentine’s Day.
Nakajima: No, we don’t~.
Yamada: Tell us “What kind of chocolate will you give Yuto…”, first of all, do you eat chocolates?
Nakajima: I love them!
Yamada: Is that so. [You like ones] that are a bit particular, right? Not just sweet but bitter, like with orange piuru? Peelé?
Nakajima: Peel.
Yamada: The type [of chocolates] with those added in.
Nakajima: Certainly, the ones that take a bit of work to make will be great. There are places where you can make chocolates you like, right? Since Yama (Yamada) likes games, I will make one that is shaped like a controller and give it to you. I hope you will mistake it for a real controller and get your hands all sticky while holding it. (Smiling meanly.)
Yamada: I won’t mistake the two! (laughs)
Nakajima: Since it will be delicately crafted, you won’t know [the difference]. I’ll add a message card that says “Hope it’ll cure your tiredness♡”.
Yamada: Well, I’ll give you yours along with monogrammed drumsticks then.
Nakajima: Eh? I’m glad. Yama, you got chocolates when you were a kid?
Yamada: I didn’t get any. While there are people who would get “a few dozens”, I was not one of them. Which member received chocolates?
Nakajima: I don’t know~. But if I have to guess based on image, it’d be Takaki (Yuya) kun? Since he likes wine, he would get chocolates to go along with it. But he doesn’t eat sweet stuff. He said he’s not into chocolate.
Yamada: Yeah. It’s been a while since the two of us talked, so I’m pretty happy.
Nakajima: That’s because we were both busy with movie or drama filming. We are always talking about going to dinner. Since it is winter, we’d want to have herbal style hot pot (yakusen nabe). If we are doing that, let’s do it at one of our homes. Yamada san will be in charge of the hot pot. I think you’ll say “It’s ready for eating, dig in.” or ”It’s probably ready. We can go ahead.”, while you help me cook.
Yamada: I say “We can go ahead” a lot (laughs). It’s really awesome that you can do an impression (monomane) like that anywhere. Your acting skills are good and while we are working as a group, I also see you do lots of respectable things. For example, when we were planning the tour, once we’ve decided and said “this song should be performed this way”, I was amazed at your quick response and focus. Moreover, the hard work you put in behind the scenes to ensure our success was reflected in the actual performance.
Nakajima: Eh?! Thank you. But I am someone who finds creating anything hard; I’m astonished at how Yama and Yabu (Kota) come up with ideas of what we want to do during each tour planning meeting. Moreover, they come up with good ideas not just for themselves, but for other members and the group. So when you entrusted me with something that only I can do, I feel that I have to work hard, to give it my all and practice so that I can do it.
Yama: The so-called “I want Yuto to do this” ideas often pop [in my head]. Besides, he would say “that sounds interesting” to those [ideas] and he would take them seriously; this makes me very happy. There are many things that only Yuto can do.
Nakajima: I’m happy to hear. That’s because Yama has watched the members, so he can give members an honest push; I think he has a wonderful attitude. Everyone thought that was helpful.
Yamada: But really, Yuto is the honest one. He has a childlike innocence. I think it is good that you would say things that we wouldn’t otherwise say. Since a long time ago, he has developed a strong sense of justice. If something is wrong, he’ll say “it’s wrong”; he confronts that with what he knows is right in his heart and his childlike reaction to whatever was said is cute. But he was ridiculously serious in the past, when someone said something, he would respond very earnestly, so you couldn’t joke around with him; to be honest, I thought he was boring (laughs).
Nakajima: Right. I thought you were serious instead of joking.
Yamada: Now you are not like that and you will reply with a laugh, but once in a while, the old Yuto would pop up momentarily. “This was the case~”, you would say keenly. Why did you change?
Nakajima: I don’t remember the details but I think I have found a home in the group. Being with the group is a time I can relax, no? Hey, Yama is a perfectionist?
Yamada: Hmmm, I wonder. Although I don’t think I am. Why?
Nakajima: Since your awareness and sense of responsibility has been strong for a long time. But I think you’ve gradually changed. When you were planning the live tour, you really made sure you asked members for lots of suggestions.
Yamada: Perhaps there was a time when I strongly felt that “I cannot waver”, but I have gradually pulled away from that, right? I think the members also started to feel strongly about marching forward together and working hard towards the future. The feeling that I want to lean on the members grew inside me. Recently, when we were planning the tour, although I provided the base, it was fleshed out by the members. As expected, I got all sorts of ideas [from the guys], so the tour was everyone’s creation.
Nakajima: During the meeting, there were a lot of “Isn’t it like this?”, although sometimes we went off a tangent. However, in those times, Yama was very calm. He brought us back on track; I thought he had great balance. Really, he was completely reliable. But, sooooometimes, you want attention? Although it makes people say “what happened, what happened”, since you are human, you can be like that once in a while. Sometimes [that happened] when the two of us were working alone. When I saw that, I thought “Is that something for me exclusively?” (laughs) Fans won’t be able to see that; the cute Yama.
Yamada: Eh~, by that, are you talking about the time when I’ve drank a little? I can’t help it.
Nakajima: You started getting affectionate. I heard people around us say things like, “You guys get along very well”. Although we’ve worked together since we were Johnny’s Jr. and we’ll continue working together, I really think it is great that we are in this group.
Nakajima: I’m looking forward to that. Those times are important going forward.
Yamada: That’s right. But since we are together so often, there isn’t anything I still want to say.
Nakajima: Eh? None?
Yamada: No, I mean [say] here (laughs). Of course, there are things I want to talk to you about, but I will save that for the time when the two of us go for dinner.

Finally they had an indictment. At Ieyasu’s urging Mitsunari did his best to hand a second plea deal to the defense, but she shot it down again.
“Dear Mr. Ishida,” she finally laughed, her brown eyes glittering. Mitsunari wondered when last someone told her she was unspeakably beautiful. “Please tell Mr. Tokugawa to stop trying. I think we made ourselves pretty clear the first time.”

As we worked together, our camaraderie grew.
Nakayama: Long time no see. [We haven’t met] since we ate together in March?
Yamada: I saw you more recently [than that].
Nakayama: No, no, I have not seen you for about half a year already!
Yamada: Oh, is that so? (Laughs)
Nakayama: Lately, Yamada-kun has been so busy, you know. I am worried about your health.
Yamada: Everything’s OK! When was the first time we met?
Nakayama: It’s Hawaii. 2007.
Yamada: That's right, and since Yuma said "he knows everything about pro wrestling", we ended up challenging each other [to a match]. Then I won (laughs)! I was soooo disappointed!
Nakayama: Moreover, even though I used all my skills right from the start, you got out of [the hold] easily and counterattacked; the difference in power was evident. I did not want to do it again (laughs).
