Branding is one of my all-time favorites! It's perfect with his entire horse thing going on. Treat that mf like livestock, like property.
It's SUCH an untapped market in Homestuck of all things, especially for the ancestors (though, of course, the Condesce dominates that small market). Unfortunately, branding is one of those things that's the hardest to search for ("brand" as in a company's brand, "brand" as in "brand new", etc.), so you REALLY have to dig to find anything.
What's worse is when there's art that gets reuploaded and tagged as branding, but it was actually just the reuploader confusing a zodiac tattoo as a brand mark. 🥀
Apart from that, I do include a branding scene for Horuss in one of my fics, but it's a fairly long series (30 chapters), with the scene being further down the line (22). There's also the strike branding variation involved, but that's for Kurloz because he's a freak like that. I'll go ahead and show a screenshot of that fic below for anyone interested:
