It’s hard to miss when there’s a new rocket happy addition to the area. This one in particular seemed to be crossing the Brutal’s radar more than others. And there were only so many times that 21 can witness a loud and flustered human being before the itch to sink his proverbial claws sets in.
Which is what brings him strolling through the hallways of the RED base at the late hours of the night, a long wooden case tucked under his arm and a soft hum upon his lips. He’s openly smiling as he passes by the closed doors of other mercenaries long since turned in to rest, deep in REM sleep and so blissfully unaware. It wasn’t the first time he’s prowled here before after all and after a while...people just had a habit of forming predictable routines.
Everyone sleeps and dreams. The Solider is no exception.
But not everyone gets to experience waking nightmares.
And 21 is all too happy to oblige as he slips in close to his current prey.
“Mm, fresh meat.”
