I have made this child’s pumpkin hat several times around Halloween for children in my life. It takes less than one skein for yarn and just a few hours to make. This time I spent a lot of time on the written pattern. Since I haven’t shared the pattern in previous class material, I will share the pattern with subscribers. So I am going to put the pattern for the witchy hat on my Instagram, but I also want to share it here.

Feel free to use it, modify it and crochet from it! I used US terms, but I will include below the UK terms for anyone interested!

Also pardon my poor illustration skills, but I tried to visualise it. The thin inner lines are seams on the cone and the one forming from going to do the head/brim part of the hat.

Crochet terms used:

double crochet ➡️ treble crochet

half double crochet ➡️ half treble crochet

single crochet ➡️ double crochet
