one of my favorite underrated scenes in season one of Spartacus is when Crixus wakes up from his injuries and discovers Barca has “purchased his freedom” and he’s so happy until they tell him Barca left Pietros and immediately he’s like “he’d sooner part with his own cock” and is immediately suspicious.
