Didn’t definitely go as supposed to. Last weekend annual race in London ended with a crash. Exactly, right at the beginning of the race I have been involved into a crash trying to avoid another collision. Lost the balance, unclipped and landed over the bars in a ditch.

The adrenaline got me going and finishing the qualify, but then I realised something was wrong into my body. Yes all battered I managed to jump on the bike again and even overtake someone but everything being happened on the first lap, the majority of the peloton was gone.

A visit to Homerton Hospital with consequential xray diagnosed a JCS shoulder separation.

I suppose I will have to take it easy for a while now, and try to recover as best I can. Shame because I was in a very good shape and I am sure I could have done well.

Good experience last weekend in Rotterdam, definitely worth the trip. I am feeling good this year and so I decided to take part to one stage of the NL Series, the fixed gear criterium races organised in Holland.

Katendrecht, by all was described as a quite sketchy course, and indeed confirmed to be quite technical. My condition was good and I was competing on the B race, since my first appearance over there and had no records. I kept a solid 6th place on the group at the front for the majority of the race, but I had to slip back and accept finishing 14th after it got too hot and my  body, living in UK, is not used to warm temperatures. Great fun tho.
