(I know very little of how color morphs/mutations and genetic stuff like that actually works, I haven’t done a ton of research but I don’t really want to spend much time on that either, it’s not like it’s a critical part of my future comic and I made this mainly just for fun anyway. However I’d still be interested in hearing if anybody that is knowledgeable in that area and happen to have opinions/criticism).
Light, medium and heavy markings: The typical markings of cireks. It’s not really three different categories but a sliding scale between having just a few spots and stripes to having more and bigger markings.Â
Freckles are not really freckles but an abundance of spots, they may appear in a brighter color than the rest of the markings .
The silver markings appears in the stripes and large spots once the cirek reaches adulthood, unless of course they happen to have an uncommon or rare type of coat were the silver stripes don’t appear at all. Because of this such adult individuals may be unfairly perceived as immature and inept by their fellow cireks.Â
Even worse, a cirek with no stripes at all may be perceived as sickly and become an outcast. Â
In contrast, a cirek with silver tipped mane is often hold in high regard and seen as a sign of general greatness.Â
