Within the swaths of abandoned human settlements cireks reside in the slowly decaying structures. While simple garden sheds don’t profile permanent shelter the plants left behind leave plenty of food. Some cireks have become excellent gardeners. Tending to crops and eating the creatures that eat from the garden. Some humans believe that ghosts are the ones tending to the gardens and several ghost stories have stemmed from it.

When cireks are born they're a solid dark color. As they grow older and start leaving the den this color begins to fade, revealing the typical cirek spots and stripes. However the characteristic inner white stripes do not appear until the cirek has become fully grown.

Cireks have this greeting they do to show friendly intent. Heads raised high, throats exposed, snouts in the air with a wide toothy grin. The sides of two cireks' jaws can be touching, even clacking their teeth (gently) against one another, accompanied by various huffs and grunts. The greeting also makes use of the flehmen response to gather extra olfactory info on the other participant.
The time of the warring states may be over in Ditovo but the insurgent group The Obsidian Ghosts continue to create turmoil. A branch of these rebels - The Iron Claws smuggle weapons and supplies through the vast wilderness using cireks as guides. The branch stem from a remnant of Oorogry, the fallen city where humans and cireks once lived together. However the species' relationship in the rebel lines are far from equal, the Iron Claw cireks are born into service and their entire existence are as tools for the rebellion. Their skill in traversing the difficult terrain is of great value for there are many dangers. The land itself is filled with dense dark forests, treacherous swamps and landscapes completely swallowed in thick fog. In addition there are potential dangerous animals, wild cireks among them, bandits and opposite forces.
How many cubs do Cireks have, and what are their typical prey and predators?.

Cireks (4) usually have 2-4 cubs per litter. A single cub born is seen as a bad sign among cireks.
Cireks are opportunistic omnivores and eat a wide variety of food. A lone cirek tend to hunt rather small prey, seldom bigger than an obieo (2). That said predatory attacks on humans (1) by a single cirek do happen. On their own a cirek is seldom a great hunter but they're smart enough to know that despite their size, humans pose little danger if they too are alone (and unarmed).
A large clan hunts more and bigger animals. An adult bull shield tagamuk (3) would be a rare prey because they're extremely dangerous however such hunts does happen as participating (and especially leading) a successful hunt of a large and difficult prey is a way for cireks to strengthen their social status and bonds.
No predator specifically preys on cireks but there are species that in their desire to thin out competition will also eat cireks given the opportunity. Karvar (5) and cireks have a bitter rivalry, they're similar in size but in a one-on-one fight the karvar is likely to win, cirek cubs are especially at risk. Cirek clans will not tolerate large predators in their territory and will use their numbers and intelligence to chase away or even kill threats.
