The Shape of Water | Fox Searchlight

Love, as powerful and as fluid as water itself. For Guillermo Del Toro’s, The Shape of Water, Creatrs artist Lily Padula invented a watercolor world for these unique characters to inhabit. Beautiful portraits and scenes meld with lines from the film and from Del Toro himself to construct a space that welcomes the “other” in all of us. A reminder to embrace our flaws and pursue the ones we love, no matter the cost.

Serve a Year | ServiceNation

Ok, this one’s cool. ServiceNation, one of the most prominent non-profits in the US, reached out to Creatrs to promote their “Serve a Year” campaign. Artists turned their message into a call-to-action with a focus on accomplishment and, wow, it worked. Tumblr users accounted for a 13% bump in traffic on the ServiceYR.org site, with the content receiving 2M+ impressions in just two weeks. The organization was thrilled with the response, having found a whole new community to help shape the future.

Crimson Peak | Universal

Oh hello there, welcome to Crimson Peak. For its release, Universal enlisted five Creatrs artists to interpret Guillermo Del Toro’s cinematic vision for a Tumblr audience. That meant going gothic. The artists evoked the spirit of the black ghost, created haunting tableaus, and brought Allerdale mansion to life (or afterlife). These pieces inspired the fandom to start making their own stuff, launching a fan art content judged by Del Toro himself. Very, very cool.
