Let’s Talk About Views
We walked into our condo in Puerto Vallarta and our hearts sank when we saw the actual view. Damn, victims of the oldie but goodie, “creative cropping.” We should of known better.
I can’t say I blame the homeowner really. They’re trying to run a business, and we needed to do our homework a little better. Nowadays, we go as far as to ask the homeowner to clarify the actual view for us.
Learn from our mistake and be careful when browsing the photos to your next condo or home. Above image shows the actual photos listed on HomeAway. And below them, are photos of what you actually see.

Now, we understand that construction will be unavoidable in parts of Puerto Vallarta, but it’s not only about the obstruction of view. It’s the 10-12 hour work day with many construction workers. The awkward stares when we sit on our balcony. It feels intimately close. We felt so uncomfortable that we left the solar shades down all day until they left. Needless to say, it was a bummer.
