wanting people to read my work but also being deathly afraid of everyone hating it is not something i thought i’d be dealing with in my twenties, and yet here we are.

Some days are great art days. Some days are most definitely NOT. Today is the latter. But hey. I'll share this disproportionate trash panda with you anyway.
Because someone might like it! Or at least get a chuckle, and that's A Ok
🌿 Balance and a Deeper World Today’s devotional is a gentle reminder: You don’t have to earn peace—you can receive it. Balance isn’t a checklist. It’s a rhythm. Includes scripture, tea ritual, journaling prompts, and a blessing to carry forward. Let your depth be sacred. Let your presence be enough. 🍵 #BalanceAndDepth #SacredPause #HealingJourney #EmotionalClarity #SpiritualRhythm #NeurodivergentSanctuary #GentleHealing #AffirmationCues #TeaRitual #CreativeVulnerability #DevotionalWriting #HealingThroughPresence #BinderInsert #WordPressDevotional #MediumBlog
🌿 Participate: Rooted in Grace, Not Grasping Today’s devotional is a gentle reminder: healing isn’t earned—it’s received. Mental wellness begins when we stop performing and start witnessing. You belong—not because you demand, but because you are. 🍵 #ParticipateWithGrace #MentalHealthDevotional #SacredPause #HealingJourney #RootedPresence #NeurodivergentSanctuary #GentleHealing #AffirmationCues #SpiritualClarity #TeaRitual #CreativeVulnerability #DevotionalWriting #HealingThroughPresence
A reflection on my creative practice
Like so many creative people, I've got so many ideas and not enough energy and time to see them through.
I like to tell myself that I'm close enough on skill but not speed. I also have a perfectionism streak that makes me hesitant to share anything in-progress. Tying them together is the struggle of getting over the hurdle of beginning (and beginning again when things don't go to plan at first).
It's about chasing a mythical "good enough" that doesn't really exist outside of my head. It's about an anxiety about being perceived, and on the flip side not being perceived/shouting into a lonely void.
All that to say: I think I'm going to start blogging a public knitting diary, a note and/or a picture of what I've worked on project-wise in a day (or a related ramble), as a proof of concept that it's okay to share the slow and vulnerable parts of the process too (even if the only audience is my future self).
I'd like to learn to love them more.
