Why do i love Archive of Our Own so much
First of all, because of its unique rating system. AO3 provides a very complete rating system with a symbol and color code that, once you learn it, allows you to immediatly know if the content is for you or not. This information panel is very important in my content search and helps me so much in knowing what i want or what i don't want. Exemple : general or mature content, the relationship pairing...
Second, the tagging system. With the participation of the authors who post there, the tagging system really helps you see at first sight if this work is for you or not, and also is very useful in the filter bar when you look for a specific type of work. Thank you all who tag their fics !
The very very exhaustive filter var, where you can search for anything, exclude and add whatever you want, the language you prefer, until you find the perfect work for you.
Also, the stats, that allows you to take on a lot of information about the work too, such at its lenght, its number of words, the date of publication AND update (very important), the language and more~
And finally, the more than awesome community posting there, and the amazing staff that makes it work ! Established by the fans for the fans, completely free and with 0 advertisement ! (That's why if you appreciate their work you can support them financially that would really help the platform)
And those are few reasons why all the other fanfic platforms seem very dull to me and why i love AO3 forever and can not thank them enough !!!
