For the ask game: Pear 🍐Is there anything in canon that you absolutely hate and love to fix in fics? A wrong choice made, a fuck-up in characterization, a misunderstanding never cleared up, a conversation never shown onscreen, etc… and
Grapes 🍇 Is there a particular scene/episode/book/etc that you want to just write a million fics about, over and over? Which one?
Pear: I love trying to explore potential back stories and deeper character motivation, seeing what (potentially) makes them tick. I think that's a huge reason why I've kept with The Haunted Mansion for so long. I can come up with all sorts of lore for a bunch of different types of characters. Is any of it necessary? No, but it's a lot of fun. The Mansion is the ultimate sandbox for that.
I also love trying to think of more logical reasons an otherwise level-headed character may have done something foolish. Was it originally just so the plot can happen? Sure. But what if...
Grapes: Summon the Keeper by Tanya Huff is one of my all time favorite books, and I'm always wanting to write fic for it. It could so easily cross over with the Mansion. I hesitate because a reason she kept the series to only a trilogy was because her cat was a big inspiration for one of the main protagonists, and when he passed away, she said she couldn't write the series any more. I worry that writing fan fiction may be going against her wishes. I grieve for days when I have to say goodbye to a pet, so I get it.
I've also thought about how I'd like to write an ending/ continuation to Don Whittington's Chronicler and the Key series that I loved as a kid. It just sort of stopped on a bizarre cliff hanger, and I've never found out why. The books themselves may be out of print, and they're not the easiest to find. But I want an ending, dagnabit
cane user (for sciatica nerve pain) I mainly use the cane for long distance walking or extended standing. But if I'm in my home where I know I have areas to frequently sit down/lean against I can do without my cane since I know if I get a flare up i can rest for a moment. Sometimes there are days where I don't have an intense pain so I can manage not using my cane
Oh sick!! Thank you!
When you use traditional media, do you have a tool you prefer to use (like pencil, pen, markers?) My perfect media to use is Ballpoint pens and non-photo blue drafting lead! :)
5-8B pencils and cheap ballpoint pens
@crazypercheron no idea if you wanted a reply but god i love talking about anatomically plausible wings so youre getting one!!
ever since i got into looking deeper into fantasy anatomy ive had some beef with angel wings, and i admit i had a hard time figuring them out but looking at some other anatomy buffs and studies of bird wings helped me realize that Wings Are Just Arms and if theyre on your back, they. cant move. your arms get in the way of flapping not to mention the lack of muscles.
imagine putting a set of arms on your shoulder blades. it wont work
would this anatomy work perfectly in real life i have no idea, but thats why i say anatomically *plausible* and not anatomically correct

Ohhh . . . I wanna say Granny, but how about Emily . . . As a monk class
This idea was really cute! I hardly ever explore monk class as much as I should and the flowy garments really suited Emily since she is usually in a ballgown!
I often see monks as such stoic and reserved characters (granted beau maybe doesn’t fit that mold ha ha!) but the idea that a super bubbly and maybe a little ditzy - girl is a monk just kind of seems like so much fun to roleplay!
I know you from the days of deviant art and Zelda art, but honestly the character I associate you with is Daniel from Amnesia and Michael Myers
That’s really flattering, omg!! I’m glad that even after all this time I could have any association with Daniel to some people - he’s still one of my fave fictional characters ever~
crazypercheron replied to your photo: crazypercheron: Trying to draw up a reaction...
Its Star Wars/ Mandalorian related. Just something dumb between me and my friend is
What was that name of the one oc of yours who couldn’t cook again? It would be cool to draw Wren with him; I’d like to see him :)
