I've always been old school, and I usually don't mind getting lost if I'm on a bike. But this article makes some good points.
We were happy to get a visit from this "Crazy Guy on a Bike" to pick up supplies during his ride from Pennsylvania to Florida along (mostly) the East Coast Greenway. Follow him here: www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/paflecg2016 #crazyguyonabike (at Family Bike Shop- Crofton)

Dear Mr. Matti Von Kessing,
It seems that the oracle has revealed your secret to me by way of an air conditioning man and his bleach blonde companions. After I made it up the 12% grade here:
http://goo.gl/maps/Itcxt
a silver grey van with advertising air conditioning pulled over in front of me up the road. When I rode by, a tan arm attached to one of those well preserved cyclist faces waved out of the vehicle. Impossible to tell his age because of the fountain of youth that weekends of wearing spandex can give you, he grinned and asked me if I needed a place to stay. Beside him was his wife? mother? sister? with hair as blonde as the little dog’s she was carrying. They were so enthusiastic and excited about my trip, and none too disappointed when I explained I was meeting my brother in Folsom. Before we parted though, they insisted that I blog about my journey and check out the crazy guy on a bike blog.
It was there, this morning, I discovered your secret while I share this office chair with my brother’s 15 pound cat. My butt is still sore from the ride, and being forced to sit on the edge of this seat while I type, but, I now feel so fashionable and hip, I don’t even care.
Thank you lover,
Emily
This guy takes LOTS of photos and posts them on his blog. He tours on a recumbent trike and scavenges for cool ground scores. Recent finds include a wad of old twenty dollar bills and 1 1/2 ounces of silver! Looking through his photos makes me miss camping and want to hit the road on my bike.
