            “ i didn’t want to come but my brother forced me out of the house and now that i’m actually here, ” atticus pauses as he purses his lips lightly, eyes narrowed while facing nowhere in particular. “ i’m regretting every second of it. ” he shakes his head slowly. “ i mean, cy completely bailed on me as soon as we got here and, you know, i understand and all, i’m happy for him and all, but he was the only reason why i came. ” he sighs before he turns his attention towards the person he’d been talking to. “ anyways, do you know where i can get a churro around here? i’m fucking starved. ”

          Cyrus had decided to arrive at Crashcon a couple hours earlier than he was supposed to and not only because he wanted to bring Atticus along, but because he wanted to have some time to cool off his nerves before he were to meet with up Zeferino for their first actual date. How insane did that sound? It’s true that he felt more comfortable after their stargazing encounter and all the things they were able to share with one another, making it less stressful for him to try and figure out what the other wanted out of their meetings, but it still felt way too surreal that he was going on a date with someone who not only treated him as a human being but also happened to be the reason he’d came to terms with his sexuality back in his early teenage years. Absolutely insane.

          The hours practically fly past and when Cyrus becomes aware of it, it’s time for the two to meet up nearby the food stalls. For the first time in a while, he isn’t the person that stands out the most whilst walking around Roswell, choosing a more casual attire over the green makeup most people were covered in but still staying on theme with a Frank N’ Furter tank top covered in a few rips and holes — the flashiest alien he could think of. He can already feel the smile threatening to appear on his lips as he reaches the spot they had chosen, hands adorned in rings fumbling with one another while he leans back against a hot dog stall. Pulling out his phone, Cyrus chews on his bottom lip while he sends out a quick message to let the other know he’s already waiting for him, taking the little time he had left before Zef would arrive to try and shake off the few nerves he hadn’t been able to yet.

the nerd event of the year is coming up. put on your best shimmery attire and paint your faces a sickly shade of green, for crash-con is on our radars and is scheduled to crash land next week! the convention is held on the premises of puhlman’s ranch and features all you need to live out your geek fantasies -- we’d love to see you there, whether you’re a human or an otherworldly visitor! you won’t want to miss the annual festivities.
