It’s how I keep up with what’s hip,” they said, then laughed a little, as if twenty-five made them old.

Adwoa showed them her phone screen. The “fancam” played when she clicked on it: it was a fancam of the Philippine girl group BINI, singing “Da Coconut Nut.” The original Tweet this fancam was under was of Space-X’s first all-civilian rocket launch recently. “I don’t get it,” said Adwoa, the recurring theme for her adventures on Twitter. “The song’s cute, but how is it related to the launch?” She nodded when they explained who LOONA was. “And what does ‘Stan’ have to do with it? Who is he?”

“Pastries?” There was no way in the world that Kian wouldn’t have latched onto that word, like most people. Come to think of it, they were feeling pretty hungry and they already knew they’d end up working over today, it had turned into one of those days a couple of hours ago. “If you’re offering you know there’s no way I can say no, I’ll take as much as you want off your hands. The girls could probably use a snack, too.” They wouldn’t be selfish.
