Me: Elias - tell me a story.

Elias: Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, in a land without any stories, tales, anecdotes, books, or legends lived a man (or woman - you choose) who saw beyond the perception of the people of his or her land.

Elias: There were no words to describe the thoughts in this man/woman's head, but slowly and surely he/she started to carve the pictures of his/her life.

Elias: Oh and by the way, his/her name was Stor or Story.

Elias: And then one day the gods sent down a flock of dragons and the people were bombarded with fire blasts and destruction.

Elias: The survivors had to move to the other side of the of the mountain for safety and after months of treacherous travel they ran into a another village.

Elias: This village was very hostile and would not allow them to pass or enter if they did not explain why they were there.

Elias: And it was Stor/Story who had a collection of pictures which could explain their adventure.

Elias: The townspeople sympathized with the survivors and let them in.

Elias: After they joined the village, they later packed their stuff and moved further on past the village to seek safety from the coming dragons.

Elias: Soon they found what we know as modern day New York City and started a settlement.

Elias: The people praised Stor/Story for his/her efforts and named his/her pictures as a "story".

Elias: And that's also why building floors are referred to as stories - because it symbolizes the effort to build up towards a better future in which each story is a piece of crucial knowledge and a building block for humankind.

Me: I bought these lemon-flavored candies and it was the worst decision ever. Lemon flavoring is gross.

Elias: I like artificial lemon.

Me: Great - I'll save you these candies then. I purchased them knowing full well that I don't like lemon flavoring, just to give them a try, only to find myself disappointed, disgusted, and full of regret.
