A Vicar from Cranleigh contacted me earlier this year about a Quarry tiled floor. It turns out he had lifted the carpets in the hallway of the Vicarage and found that the previous tenant had painted red tile paint around the tiles up to the edges of the carpet. Another tradition for @lilyjcollins and myself is to make sure we visit Mr. Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe in Cranleigh which is the largest village in the South of England. It is very traditional and always puts us in the Christmas spirit!!! Not much has changed since I started to come here in the early 1980’s. Businesses may have come and gone but some have been here forever however the charm and appearance is pretty much the same. I respect that and appreciate that the past is honored and continues to live on in our modern times. It really feels like Christmas with all the classic decorations and lights.
