Murphy’s law, adapted: the further down a process something goes wrong, the bigger the impact. My laptop died on Monday, what a fabulous timing. Thanks to my near-fanatic backup routine and strategy I didn’t lose any work though, important lesson here is to make sure there’s no single point failures when using technology for anything. Once again I was literally saved by forward planning.

Week 14 may seem like a bit of a wrap up week, but don’t be fooled, many important lectures and tutes are still taking place. This is usually the time when lecturers and tutors go through previous exam papers, or recap the salient points of each week’s topics from the past semester. Skip these at your peril. 

Also it’s well worth finding out if and when and where exam revision sessions are held during Stuvac. These might be offered by the teaching staff or groups such as MESH for maths units. And do not forget PASS! They typically run longer revision sessions during Stuvac, both on campus and online. 

As always if you come to a lecture come prepared with questions. If it’s a revision lecture you could email the teaching staff your questions in advance to make sure the content is covered. 

And whatever you do, exam revision sessions are NOT for socialising, do NOT come there to chat, or grandma here will walk up to you and let you have it. I’m starting to run out of patience and middle fingers at this time of the year, but peace and love to y’all anyway. XOXO

Last labs, tests, and pracs
