SOoOo: I went ahead and drew a top and bottom row of teeth on colored paper. Label each tooth so you don't get them confused; ABCs, or number them! Measure each row to your forehead and jawline and leave some room for error.

Shape some teef🦷, rolling each into a ball, half cylinder, and then making a point on the ends. Wait for each row to cure. Look for pictures to find what kind of teeth you're going for.

While those are drying, take your mask base (I only had a half mask, but I extended the bottom with extra fabric from a baklava to make a jaw). You can use paint to make your mask black, for the inside of the mouth. I recycled mesh fabric to place underneath the eyes, but you can use anything that you can comfortably see through. Like a pair of old stockings. ( To create depth, I added an extra layer of fabric over the mask as well. This step isn't necessary)

When the teeth are done curing, paint your teeth if you like. You can leave them pearly white, but normal teeth are often off-white, and animal teeth often have a stain leading from the gum. White paint and a bit of yellow are good for this (I had none, so I mixed white nail polish and yellow acrylic). Leave bits of the tooth white, while the outer parts are yellowed. (You can even use loose coffee to get a nice brownish tint. Smaller brushes are good for texture)

For gums, ofc I had no paint, but I did take a wad of foam and used 3 different shades of red from a mini eyeshadow palette I have on hand. I kneaded it in..Came out bubble gum pink! Press dents into a strip of your 'gum' for the teeth to nestle in. Press each tooth gently, and morph the gummy foam around & in between the teeth. I used the same colors (and white nail polish) to lightly paint the purplish gum details.

Don't forget some strategically placed hot glue strings for realistic "drool"😊 ~☆

When the gums and teeth were finished, I took a large curved sewing needle and sewed the top and bottom rows to the mask fabric (since normal glue wouldn't bond the foam clay&mask). This way I can switch the teeth out without damaging the mask base under it.♡ Now we are done!
