Display box is finally finished!
This was originally a plain wooden box. I primed it with Gesso, painted with purple acrylic, and sealed with Mod Podge. The display panel on the front is cross stitch on white vinyl aida, hot-glued in place!
My booth looks so cute! So funny having this much space (I am only used to anime cons.) My dad helped me and I couldn’t have done it without him! He made my awesome new pipe shelf display!! I am going to use it at cons too.
Craft Fairs, Learning Experiences I
Our first time at the Maui Swap Meet, we fought the weather. While there was nothing we could do about that, we decided that our setup might be inviting enough to entice people to visit our tent.
The Hubby strolled around the event looking at other booths and devising plans for the next evolution in our setup. One Jeep-ful of peg board, lumber, screws, braces, and hinges later, he started building.
While not working his day job, he constructed a better setup to display the art. Once finished, he decided we also needed a better storage system. Couch and rug moved, living room rearranged, and our show booth setup fills one whole corner - 15 sq ft of our measly 144 sq ft living room.
Both of us count the days until we sell enough art volume to buy a trailer this can permanently get stashed in!
