I've been reading through all your DCU stuff on Ao3 and am so sad that I'm nearing the end! It's been a real joy to read your work. I love your characterizations and plot ideas <3 I'm in a huge Dick Grayson phase right now, and the way you write him and his relationships is lovely. At some point I hope to leave more specific, detailed comments on the individual works, but right now I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate what you've posted. *love*!
!!! Hello! Thank you! Oh gosh I feel like I should be dusting or something, itās been so long since Iāve posted and I have a visitor ;;;
Donāt worry there will be more fic... eventually. I am working on a long one and Iām afraid the pandemic quite derailed me for several months but itās COMING ALONG (she said with grim determination and a baleful glare at the open document). Itāll be the next (probably last) installment in the Chaos Theory series and it is at...77k so far. Weāll get there.
Would you like a snippet?? Itās so hard working on things without sharing them, and you have said such nice things, Iām going to give you a snippet.
"Batgirl and I will patrol tomorrow,ā Bruce said. āOracle will back us up from here. Nā"
Dick raised an eyebrow at him.
Bruce cleared his throat. "I'm aware you have responsibilities in Bludhaven."
"Nothing that can't wait,ā Dick said graciously. āWhat do you need, B?"
"I need you to work with Damian to defend the manor, just in case of attack. And in the meantime go over the existing defenses, working together, to patch any holes Damian identifies."
Dick and Damian eyed each other, each as unhappy as the other. "I can work with him if he can work with me," Dick said, though he spoke directly to Damian.
"I suppose you can't be entirely incompetent, given the night's events," Damian allowed, though grudgingly.
"Jason may be able to help," Bruce went on, pretending he didn't want to jump for joy at this show of camaraderie. "But remember, he's injured. Don't push him. Tim should stay out of it. Good luck with that."
Dick actually cracked a smile at that, but Damian nodded seriously.
"Good. And of course, you're all staying here tonight. Now get some rest."
"Don't have to tell me twice," Babs said, pushing away from the main console. Dick took up with her in a lazy amble and Steph joined them. Bruce heard her say "Yesss, bat-breakfast," under her breath as she passed.
