But it was Twitch, not Twitter! Hasan Piker is a leftist streamer (the biggest leftist streamer on Twitch, in fact, with almost 2 million followers) and he got banned for a week for calling someone a "dumb cracker bitch."
Honestly, I really don't think Twitch would have done anything if it weren't for butthurt white people mass-reporting Hasan for "racial hate speech and slurs." Btw, Hasan is half-white (and half-Turkish), is white-passing, and self-identifies as a white person.
I've said this and I'll say it again: It's not nice to call someone a cracker and you shouldn't do it, but can we fucking not act like "cracker" is on the same level as the n word or other racial slurs? Has anyone ever actually been offended by being called a cracker?
Side note: one of the funniest things ever was being in the r/LiveStreamFail thread and seeing non-Americans and non-native English speakers being like "I'm sorry, I'm missing some context, is this an offensive word?" and then people who didn't have their heads up their ass would reply being like "Literally no one outside of Reddit cares about cracker lmao"
